What is indent management software?
Indent management software lets departments raise material requests online, routes each to the right approver, and tracks it until it becomes a purchase order or is issued from stock. It replaces paper indent books.
What a lost indent costs you
In most plants the indent still starts as a slip, a register entry or a WhatsApp message. A slip goes missing and a machine waits for a bearing. Two supervisors indent the same item and you buy it twice.

Frequently asked questions
Can maintenance and production raise indents, or only the store?
Any user you give access to can raise indents for their department. Since IndustryPrime allows unlimited users at no extra charge, you can give access to every department head instead of routing everything through the store.
How do we stop the same item being indented twice?
When an indent is raised, the user sees current stock and open indents for that item. With open indent visibility, the purchase team also sees every pending request in one list before ordering.
Can an indent be issued from stock instead of purchased?
Yes. If the item is available in the store, the approved indent can be issued directly against it, and the issue is recorded against the indenting department's cost centre.
Do we get a report of pending and delayed indents?
Yes. The indent register shows the status of every request, and an Indent MIS report lets management review indents across divisions.
Does the work order indent also work the same way?
Yes. Work order indents for services and jobs follow the same raise, approve and track flow, ending in a work order note instead of a goods receipt.
