Cut purchase cost
Reduce procurement cost in manufacturing, one purchase order at a time
Every PO rate is checked against your last buy, and every enquiry goes to several vendors. A higher rate is flagged before you approve.

How do manufacturers reduce procurement cost?
Through checks on every order: several quotes per item, each PO rate compared with the last price paid, less emergency buying, and paying only for what was received.
Why the best rate is hard to get without a system
Purchase teams work hard for good rates, but often without the full picture. The last supplier gets the call because it is quick. A rate rises a little and the old one is not in front of anyone.
Across hundreds of items, from bearings to refractories, these add up every month. The team is not the problem; the check depends on someone having the right number at the right moment.
Four areas where plants save
One quote instead of three. Phone enquiries usually reach one vendor, so nobody knows if the price is fair. See how an RFQ and RFQ software work.
Rates from memory. Nobody recalls the last price of every item, so a higher rate slips through.
Emergency buying. A stockout means buying fast, not cheap. See preventing stockouts.
Paying for what did not arrive. If the GRN is not matched to the PO, short supply is missed at payment.
How IndustryPrime helps in each area
IndustryPrime runs the whole cycle, from indent to enquiry, PO, goods receipt and payment, so the checks run on every order.
Competing quotes by default
Send one enquiry to several vendors. The comparative statement builds itself, so the team negotiates with numbers and the approver sees why a vendor was chosen. More on quotation comparison.
Every PO rate checked against your history
When a purchase order is created, its rate is compared with your last buy. A higher rate is flagged before approval, old and new side by side, so the approver can send it back.
Approvals that match the money
Amount-based approval sends big orders to a senior approver. Mandatory vendor per item keeps critical items with vendors you trust.
Receipt matched to the order
The goods receipt is recorded against the PO with QC, rejections and the invoice. Invoice says 1,000, store received 960: you pay for 960. See the GRN module.
Where to start
Load your items, vendors and stock from Excel, then run indents and POs through IndustryPrime. The rate check works as soon as purchase history is in.

How it works
Cut purchase cost, step by step
- 1
Send one enquiry to several vendors
One RFQ to many vendors. Quotes land in one place, not on WhatsApp.
- 2
Get the comparative statement automatically
The quotation comparison builds itself, with every vendor's rate and terms side by side.
- 3
See the rate check before you approve
A PO rate above your last buy is flagged before approval.
- 4
Pay only for what arrived
The GRN is matched to the PO, so you pay for what was received.
Transparency at all levels
“IndustryPrime has brought in transparency and accountability at all levels. Our team is also very happy as it is easily accessible and user-friendly. I will highly recommend IndustryPrime.”

FAQs
Frequently asked questions
Where does IndustryPrime get the last purchase rate from?
From your own purchase orders in the system. Once your item list and past rates are in, every new PO for that item is compared against what you paid before.
Does a flagged rate stop the purchase order?
No. The approver sees the flag and the previous rate, then decides. Many owners use it to call the vendor back and renegotiate before approving.
Can I make it compulsory to buy an item from an approved vendor?
Yes. You can set a mandatory vendor per item, so a PO for that item can only go to the vendors you have set.
Can approvals depend on the value of the order?
Yes. Amount-based approval lets you route high-value purchase orders to a senior approver while small orders follow a shorter path.
How quickly will I see savings?
It depends on how your plant buys today. Savings come from three places: rate increases caught before approval, more vendors quoting on each enquiry, and less dead stock bought again. We size it for your plant in the demo.
